Houston, Texas, USA- October 10 - 11, 2017: CCT International participated as "Conference-Level Sponsor" of the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Conference 2017. The event is a joint research initiative between the Construction Industry Institute (CII), Construction Owners' Association of Alberta (COAA) and Group ASI Inc. Over 250 professionals attended this year from companies such as ExxonMobil, Fluor, Jacobs, KBR, etc. CCT has continuously sponsored this event yearly since 2014.

Held at the JW Marriott Galleria, the two-day conference consisted of a series of presentations focusing on Advanced Work Packaging and Workface Planning covering different topics by engineering firms, owner-operators and technology companies. Topics included: implementation and support challenges, latest developments in technology, methodology and best practices.

The conference kicked off with an overview of the global project landscape in the main event hall and after several plenary presentations from various experts, the audience broke out into focused sessions.  Dr. Amr El-Sersy, CCT's VP of Marketing and Business Consulting Services, held a workshop in the Technology Experts breakout session entitled "Leveraging C3D® to Ensure Compliance of Site Execution Teams".

The workshop focused on how planners and engineers rely on C3D to prepare and manage Work Packages and complete their Workface planning. C3D enriches the filtering, arranging, analyzing, and segmenting of BIM and construction data while integrating the necessary scope, resources, time, and budget from different project departments and systems. With this capability, users can work hand in hand with on-site staff to prioritize tasks, set up schedules, decide on the required approach and prerequisites for each task (drawings, resources, materials, etc.), and compare planned versus actual progress. Compliance and managing the progress of Construction and Installation Work Packages is done via CCT's state-of-the-art field capture technologies which include digital pen and mobile.

After the breakout session, CCT participated in an open Technology Panel where several questions from the audience and the organizers were addressed.

The conference also included a trade show and some networking opportunities.
