C3D Interactive™: 3D Project Control

C3D Interactive is a leading 3D-based construction project control application, designed for energy projects. The solution helps Construction and Fabrication Managers, owners and contractors to visualize and control their projects, by analyzing key construction information, based on actual progress as well as do visual “look-aheads” based on current progress rates, BoQs, MTO’s and more.

C3D allows users to link 3D objects to multifaceted piping data in an object oriented fashion. Data is modeled in classes and hierarchies based on isometrics, spools, materials and welds.

With the aid of C3D, the management can visualize the fabrication status, identify the effects of shortages and prioritize fabrication resources based on material and project schedule priority.

C3D can also provide a broader approach to selecting the field cut welds in a way to minimize scaffolding, maximize shop PWHT and locate installation bottlenecks.

C3D Interactive – a Holistic BIM-based Project Control Approach:

  • C3D's user interface and features are tailored for EPC project control- hierarchies (RBS, SBS, WBS etc.). Reports are built on the needs of the industry. 
  • 3D progress control of fabrication on actual piping status derived from the isometric drawings via integration with Solinas™ for AutoCAD® (sold separately). 
  • 4D Animation- "Status colorized" animation of 3D models on either the schedule (Primavera, MS Project, Excel, etc) or actual progress.

Advanced Work Packaging and Work Face Planning for Oil & Gas

Planners and engineers rely on C3D to prepare and manage Work Packages and complete their Workface Planning. C3D enriches the filtering, arranging, analyzing, and segmenting  of construction data while integrating the necessary scope, resources, time, and budget. This builds effective work packages. With this capability, engineers can work hand in hand with on-site staff to: prioritize tasks, set up schedules, decide on the required approach and prerequisites for each task (drawings, resources, materials, etc.), and compare planned versus actual progress. Managing the progress of Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and Installation Work Packages (IWPs) (including resources and workloads) is done via the C3D Planner™ option. C3D Planner™ also lets users do N-weeks look-ahead, making it an essential planning tool.
